So, let's start with the beginning, let's start with Buffy Omnibus volume 1



Buffy, the Vampire Slayer OMNIBUS, volume 1 is a Paperback/Soft cover book [6 x 0.6 x 9 inches/ 23x15 cm] with 318 pages. It is published by Dark Horse Comics [first edition: July 2007] ISBN: 978-I-59307-784-6



This volume, as the back cover states: is the ultimate compilation of Dark Horse's original Buffy comics and runs chronologically along the TV series' timeline.

This volume is considered as the "Year 0" because it tell stories from before Buffy went to Sunnydale, which some already include the character Dawn as her sister.

Commentary:

"The Origin" is the only story of this volume considered canon. Personally, I found this volume very interesting because of the "Year 0" concept, where you can watch Buffy before she was the Slayer, and before she went to Sunnydale. It doesn't harm the canon story, and I think it is a good complement and piece of entertainment if you like the show. It may not be great, but in my opinion it is worth a read.
